Flaminia sighed deeply, she ruffled her pale pink feathers to help her absorb the bad news. Her flight was cancelled indefinitely. Where was she going to spend Christmas this year if she couldn't get home? She picked up her mobile phone to video chat with her family in Aruba.
"Don't worry Flaminia", her mother comforted her through the phone. "Take this as an opportunity to experience Christmas traditions in another part of the world!" Flaminia hadn't thought of it that way before…”this could be an adventure of a lifetime”, she thought to herself. She hung up the call, and began researching Christmas traditions from around the world, and all of a sudden her heavy heart began to fill with the sensation of joy and anticipation. This was going to be the best Christmas ever!!

Flaminia oftă adânc, își ciufuli penele roz pal pentru a se ajuta să absoarbă vestea proastă. Zborul ei a fost anulat la nesfârșit. Unde avea să-și petreacă Crăciunul anul acesta dacă nu putea ajunge acasă? Și-a luat telefonul mobil pentru a face un apel video cu familia ei în Aruba.
„Nu-ți face griji Flaminia”, o dojeni mama ei prin telefon. „Ia acest lucru ca o oportunitate de a experimenta tradițiile de Crăciun într-o altă parte a lumii!” Flaminia nu se gândise la asta înainte ... „ar putea fi o aventură de o viață”, își spuse ea. A închis apelul și a început să cerceteze tradițiile de Crăciun din întreaga lume și dintr-o dată inima ei grea a început să se umple de bucurie și anticipare. Acesta avea să fie cel mai bun Crăciun vreodată !!
